Area celebrates National Day of Prayer at Diamond Park

It was 10 minutes before Shadows of the Sun’s second show. About 50 people were gathered in Diamond Park in Meadville to hear them play as part of National Day of Prayer. There was one problem. Bass player Zechariah Ring didn’t have a piece of equipment he needed to amplify his praise and the band didn’t know what to do.

The Solemn Assembly that was held on Sunday January 15, 2006 was an awesome success.

If you were unable to attend you missed and awesome time of repentance and unity brought by the Holy Spirit.

• There were many different denominations represent.
• We came together for the purpose of praying for our city and region.
• We prayed and repented for our pride and arrogance toward one another, toward women in ministry, and toward different races, and many other things.
• We had a time of worship and communion and we showed a portion of the Transformation video and told about how a city can be transformed by the power of God through united prayer.
• We also came together and signed a Declaration of Transformation and said that we would commit to pray for each other and for revival and transformation of the area, and stand for truth and righteousness.
